The church Usher helps the Pastor to make the Mass or service a success by putting the congregation in the right frame of mind.  The usher meets the people with a pleasant smile, a warm welcome and directs them to a pew.

The usher also sees to it that order is kept in and around the church during the Mass or service.
 
Ushers are forerunners, for they prepare the church
for the parishioners by being the first to arrive at the church.

• They see that the church is in proper condition. 

• Then ensure church bulletins & literature are distributed

• They ensure donation envelopes are collected and presented with the Gifts at the altar.

 
Church ushers are missionaries for the church for they
perpetuate the spirit throughout the congregation.
