Volunteers who have not completed VIRTUS and do not have the completed paperwork on file must take a leave from their ministry until all requirements have been fulfilled.

OUR YOUTH

The staff and volunteers of Our Lady of Lourdes Parish are committed to providing a safe environment for our children and youth. 

 

To report an incident of suspected abuse by an employee or volunteer please contact law enforcement and the Office for the Protection of Children and Young People.

 

The office maintains a special phone for these situations: (516) 594-9063.

VIRTUS REQUIREMENTS

The Diocese of Rockville Centre  requires all volunteers to: 

 

  • Attend a VIRTUS Child Protection Awareness Session

 

  • Complete a Diocesan Background Check

  • Return a Signed Diocesan Code of Conduct

All Signed paperwork and a certificate of VIRTUS completion must be returned to the Rectory Office.
